have just about got everything working except it seems profiles doesnt work it seems as though it wants to make a directory with the members name which is fine but it never gets made therefore when you click on a profile you get a 404 error i would gladly pay to have this fixed by an expert as long as it is resonable

my email is michael@milync.com

In dolphin 6.1 and higher you need to go to the permalinks option in the settings menu of the dolphin admin. Untick the 'Enable friendly profile permalinks' and you should untick the others as well and save changes. If you are using the earlier dolphin 6.0 the frindly profile permalinks option is in the Advanced Settings. When it goes to the http://(domainname)/(username) link this is hiding the real link such as http://(domainname)/profile.php?ID=2. This only works if your server supports the remapping see more of the link server side. getting a 404 error means it dos not support serverside remapping.

try and copy n paste the contents of the .htaccess file into the root of your dolphin site .htaccess file. some hosts do not allow this file to be uploaded via ftp.
then check the friendly profile permalinks and save, then look again

Hi all

I also have this problem. Can I ask what .htaccess file you are talking about?

Thanks in advance
