Wondering Why all the (-)'s are being applied

DosDawg posted 5th of July 2008 in Community Voice. 9 comments.

for the past couple of days, on several of the posts where i have answered some inquiries, i am seeing a vast amount of (-)'s being applied to both the person asking the question, as well as my responses. not that it really matters i dont suppose, just wondering why its going on. I just posted a few minutes ago, to

sorosh1

asking about allowing his users to change the template. i went to look at something on the site, came back and every post on there had a ( - ) on it. how would you guys suggest stopping somebody from arbitrarily hitting the negative on a post just to be pretentious?

oh well probably crying over spilled milk here, but i do consider any positive vote for my posts to be important, and would like for boonex to look at some manner of control on this. i think sammie has mentioned where a user was deleted for violation of TOS in abusing the voting system. what stops a person from creating a new username and continuing with this type of business?

I can't tell if its a disgruntled person or a bug in the system.. I just gave your post a thumbs up and the number didn't change??

yeah its kewl, i think there are some of us who are having a temper tantrum thrown at us for some reason. i think there is a baby in the crowd who has lost his binkie. looks like he has a few usernames and is spending a lot of his time tagging me and sammie and gameutopia. thats kewl. rent free space in this guys head. rock on

Yeppers and kind of reminds me of what is going on in the "real world"...we all live in, "My god can beat the shit out of your god!" And people are really ready to kill and die over that crap which just goes to show you there is probably a lot more space in some people's brains...than there is on the face of Mother Earth.

My Dad can beat your Dad up!!

Well then again maybe not...he's too old now.

Don't think I have posted one negative yet but I know for a fact I have posted a hell of a lot of positives...including on comments that were already down by 14 points or more like poor sammie's good posts have been. But OMG, who here that even remotely has a life would have the time to waste to set up 13 accounts just to try to bring even her wonderfully smart ass posts up to zero, when by rights hers and so many of the rest of "you people's" comments...ought to be looking at double digit see more positive numbers on your posts?

But I do confess, only hours after I posted something last nite I did get a negative vote like the rest of you guys...so I do feel like I am in good company at last...and finally doing my share as well for a change. ;-)

see morethis is hilarious, i have a -3 on here as well, but no comments reflecting as to why that would be. i know in the past i have had a few negatives, but they were rightly deserved, and the person who tagged me negative, left a comment, i have no problem with that, but to go around and inadvertently click on a negative vote, that is just crazy. funny as hell though to me, that means i occupy space rent free in that persons head, and man i love free stuff.

holla all and thanks for the posts.

@Bramin

yea, that was me. I'm sorry i know your post was done in a good manner. But i leave coments why i did vote with -1 ....btw, the -1 means for me less important not really negative!

Well, now i got a bunch of -1 back. I think for no reason :)

Maybe there should be a limit, only allow 1 neg. vote every 1-2min to be sure he/she read the post :)
