What Happened to Length of Time on Unity?

mydatery posted 28th of December 2009 in Community Voice. 7 comments.

There was a feature that displayed the amount of time each and every person had been a member of Unity, with the update it is gone?  This feature was very useful when I first joined Unity in helping me to figure out a reputable person from a noobie trying to play themselves off as someone who knew what they were talking about.

In addition, it also became useful to show who was coming in creating new profiles just to troll (I know, the paid memberships will help with that) and so many other things.  We have people who have been on here for over 2 years (I haven't been here that long) and this feature was a huge item in helping to locate them.

Can we get this item back boonex?

Ah, so that's why you were viewing my profile earlier. ;)

As for Unity, I miss allot of the old features, and I wish they weren't removed. I'll have to agree with you there.

Seems like you can only see this information on yourself in the Account area but not in the profile..Lovely

I agree with this also, and also the status for membership like pundits, cant see anywhere on my profile that says im a pundit and my pundit points seem to have gone, (unless of course ive missed where they have done away with pundit status now. ) Its only a small thing i know (as the actress said to the bishop) :-) but how are we supposed to know who's who. (if you see what i mean)

I'd have to agree with you here. It was a nice feature.

I agree - and the fake profiles are also getting to be a problem. Someone made a fake profile yesterday to post an attack on me as their very first post. The "length of time" wouldn't have prevented this, but at least people could have spotted the fake more easily.

Wait a second.

Don't new accounts have to pay to post (the $5.00 Advanced Membership Fee) or "Purchase" a license to get Advanced Membership Status? Not sure if things are working the way they're supposed to work yet or not on this.
