You know, this is nice, I'm glad someone is having fun, but since you have put this information together for entertainment purposes, could you also do it for business? I would like to see a "feature matrix" with all those products and capabilities you listed.

Though I didn't see it on your list, an organization I have had my eye on for some time as a possible customer for Dolphin technology just deployed Joomla for their data collection and event management system. Now I know Joomla see more - even with all the social mods, doesn't do as much as Dolphin, but now they are there.

The delay of D7 is causing lost opportunities like this. While it will be harder to knock out Joomla then it would have been to propose Dolphin in the first place, can anyone tell me the major downsides to Joomla as opposed to Dolphin so I can at least be prepared to make this case. I was planning to post this on the forum anyway but given the subject of this blog post it seemed appropriate.

lol..nice video, and nice star wars theme..lol. I dont really think you can compare joomla out of the box with dolphin just because its much more basic out of the box then dolphin is. I also think wordpress is great as far as blogger sites go, yet imo thats kind of where wordpress stops. It is easy to optimize and somewhat simple, but definitely not comparable as far as social networking softwares go.
And it is definitely good news to hear one more beta release before the rc is released. It see more gives us more of a difinitive time frame as far as how to plan out own site releases or upgrades.

I'm a joomla freak and you can do incredible things by using the right applications, even live video chat.
The other thing is that Joomla has thousands of helping hands and is quite reliable with security patches whenever security holes getting explored.
I'm always testing new modules, components, plugins and specials and many are very impressive.

Only thing I saw wrong with the video was the unless you are looking for a "Piece" (which I probably would be) then you need to change it to PEACE if in fact you want Peace in the Universe as apposed to a piece in the universe. That would probably be WAY higher than the mile-high club.

Great video, stuff like that just keeps the creative juices flowin. I enjoyed it.

I have used many scripts and have used joomla. I will have to say that it is a very nice script with lot's of good points but there is no comparison as dolphin stands out with more to offer and in the long run a less expensive investment. As a web host and investor i have experienced great results and a sound investment with my choice of using dolphin. I also recommend dolphin wholeheartedly to all my clients wishing to start a community based site.

I guess it is personal preference and not everyone see more is the same. I love the new changes that are coming with dolphin and am a big supporter. I have much respect for the dolphin team and am grateful for the hard work put into it. Nice video by the way. Glad your having some fun. My wife is always telling me i need to have some fun but i seem to never quit and take the needed time. I am learning that good rest and relaxation and recreation helps the mind work better. Thanks for setting a good example of what is important other than just work. Great job Boonex team.
