Upgrade Failed
So I just performed an upgrade of Dolphin from 6.05 to 6.1.1. Unfortunately it failed. While the upgrade script reported a clean upgrade my system now returns a Server 500. Setting permissions to either the final state of 6.0.5 or to 777 recusrively did not work.
I'm very glad I made a backup of my production site and ran the upgrade on the test version.
Any ideas?
David
Plz specify - did you have .htaccess in your 6.0.0005 ? If haven't then delete this file from upgrade patch and try to repeat upgrade again.

still getting the 500 again
1) download the free Upgrade
2) Unzip into temp dir
3) Copy all files from temp dir into dir to be upgraded using cp -r * ../dir/
4) run the php upgrade script
I don't think the mysql conversion error is the problem with system because I get a 500 error not a database access error.
Dowloading to my laptop and then moving files from each directory doesn't seem to make a lot of sense since there are MANY directories. see more
As for the permissions, it most likely is a permissions issue, (owner and permissions) depending on how you uploaded them.

Any thoughts?
