Trying to edit CSS

Hello, I am trying to edit some of the css code from the admin panel but I get a warning that the files are not writable, even after I change the permissions of the files in templates/css chmod to 777. is it because I'm using the free version of dolphin? Thanks.

What template directory are you CHMODDing?

You must edit the templates/tmpl_XXX/css/ .
NOT templates/base/css/
