Trident has been in development since 2003

and still no info on what it is going to be.

its boring here, boonex, pl update us on this with some little things abt frameworks.

a lot of discussion can happen,

btw why dont we ask boonex to host polls, surveys etc to get loads of valuable inputs about the new development.

there are few kind people who really wants to support/provide suggesstions on the go.

I've been following the development of Trident ever since it was the "ProWider Publishing Suite." It's apparently been under active development, mostly as a test-tube child for it's sibling projects, as portions of its code appears to have been used for several BoonEx web sites and even Orca.

I'm personally classifying it as the "Duke Nukem Forever of web scripts." It's kept changing over the years, and has repeatedly missed the deadline.

thats a terrific news. so will trident be released as a downloadable product like dolphin? any feature updates which is missing in d7?
Nathan Paton
@tomakali's reply: if you realized what I just said, you wouldn't be calling it "terrific news," or asking those kind of questions.

What difference does it make? "Trident" is just a name, like "Hookie" or "Dolphin 7" or for that matter "Dolphin 7 beta". What matters is the feature set - what works and what doesn't. In most cases, your customers aren't going to know what the program you use to develop your communities is called anyway.

Who cares what it is call, I want the trident blog and updates that we're paying monthly subscriptions to watch....in other circles do you know what they call when you promise a service or access to a blog/forum and then don't deliver after payment is made??

You are in the wrong blog, then.

Anyway, did it just updated or did I overlooked?!?! "Trident is planned to be used as the core engine for Dolphin 8 and other BoonEx products."
