The Admin Panel has no Video upload size setting

adamzfun posted 17th of June 2008 in Community Voice. 6 comments.

I was using the Beta Version of Dolphin and I could find the max upload size setting for video in the Admin/Settings/Advance Settings just fine.

Now that I have upgraded to the latest version of Doplhin Adfree, I can no longer find this setting control so I can lift the 2MB default for videos.

I would really appreciate some help here, I need to be able to upload videos to the site I am building and get past this mystery.

I have taken the following steps:

1. edited php.ini file to allow 50mb uploads
2. edited settings in ray

However there is no setting in the Dolphin 6.1.1 Adfree panel to increase the 2mb video limit as there was in the beta. Why did I ever switch?

its not needed, if you in fact edited the php.ini global, then there is no reason why you shouldnt have a 50mb max_upload() on the server
have you ran phpinfo() on against your server? if you have created a php.ini file where did you put it on the server?

PS, this is supposed to be posted in the forums, just as stated when you opend up to post a blog. please post issues of this nature in the fourms.

I had the same issue with uploading larger files and found that there are three places to change your upload max size. the first is of course in the Ray Settings, the second is the php.ini file under /public_html/, and the third - which confused me like crazy as to why - the server php.ini -which means you need root access. I use a whm so i changed it there, and all is well
