Send mail not working

Whether there is any restrictions for the mail function in PHP?

Not that I am aware of.. if there was what would I look for?

I have sendmail installed and running
I am checking over everything.. my php.ini is set for the directory it's in with the - opts..

O DaemonPortOptions=Port=smtp,Addr=matrixsubsystems.info, Name=MTA
Auth mehtods = all

Service is running...
But when it comes time for dol to send out a email it says: Email send failed.

Can't I just send emails with out having a email server installed? Or perhaps a mod for dolphin that send emails in a smtp.php script?

I would hate to not use see more this script cause of something this dumb...lol....

Plus it would give me the opportunity to shut up the biggest arsehole I have ever worked with. (At times)

Okay have everything installed edited every option my php.ini wide open. Xampp has sendmail and smtp installed with it... get email send failed for invites and users can't get their passwords sent to them....

So after 5 hours of fiddling safe to say something: The way This script send mails needs some work. . And if I get this right the only fix to this problem is a work around mod that I have to pay for? And there is no support here? If I get no response in the next few hours I guess that is see more a yes and I will move on... was looking at phpmotion seems easy to install.. And great support.

I seen your same question asked over a year ago with other people asking the same having the same issues all during that year with still no resolution... or did a dev enven try..lmao...

And So you know it uses -function sendmail- Not sure why? Due to ISP's cuttin down on the use of that and a very well known fact it is...... then sendmail will not work on a huage amount of peoples domains... They should think about changing that....

Just add a include that repleaces all the sendmail crap and make it access it outside of the inc/util... might work for you... Berry is an odd os. As well Fedora 8 yums work well in Berry....... rather then using Xampp do a yum set up of smtp/mail see more etc etc...... it will fatten your chances of getting it to work.

Okay well I had a buddy check it out. My shit is tight. It's the script.. I quickly installed phpbb2 and all functions in it work fine.
So it's the script. Piss on this thing for now.. I got a game date with a video game loving hottie. So.. I'll look forward in the afternoon tomorrow to seeing mention of a patch being put out addressing this. Instead of being extorted for a mod to fix it.

Yep all depends on how your hosting it. I tried it on my other server worked great. Except profile pages gave me an error till I made a .ini for it and changed the htacc...

They just need to give people a choice of how to send emails out.

And I need to figure out how to add html to profiles.

just one question? are you running your server from home, on a windows system? i see you mentioned wamp, so instead of doin all of this bitching about what doesnt work? how bout loading up an old box with linux making it your server load a mail server on it, there are plenty that are free, and run your site from a linux server instead of wamp? that would be my suggestion.

Ah dumass it's hosted on a linux/Unix box. Everything is fine everything works phpbb forums send mail works our game server mail system works using SMTP... I got more letters infront of my name then in it. So I suggest before making insulting suggestions to me... you ask a few questions. Cause you know what they say when you assume right?

We have an active mail server already everything works on our end. 5 techs, 3 coders have checked from our end. It's the scripts limited email sending ability. see more

We are telling you... The mail is wacked on certain ISP's all we asked was to make a choice of how to send the emails... not to try to give us advice like one of you alone could do any better then all of us combined... lol... sit down.

But just like everything with this script we already solved the problem. Instead of sitting around and waiting for support and never have our emails (From the server) returned.

I think it might be worth just writing our own script for the 2D web based part of the VR not game sorry. I keep calling it a game when it's 64 virutal cities to make a whole new style of community site. Just wish we had a database expert. If you really want to write a script for it thats a good idea and all... I am going to a place to get a intensive DB course on monday so. We won't be needing a db guy....... For the same cost I was paying for that guy for two months I could have just took the course and saved me the money of paying him over a 6 month span..........
