Interesting blog there lightwolf, quite a few members of mine from the U.S are very concerned about this. Apparently the bush government put forward a (what we would call a parliament act) to get rid of the endangered species act, and somebody has just approved it putting at risk the lives of at least a thousand wolves. its the same in alaska too i believe with something to do with Ariel gunning of the wolves, i believe also gassing them too. Things are getting a bit rough for the wolves now in see more the wild with not many breading pairs left. Its a tragedy really and wolves dont get much attention because they arent cute cuddly things like panda's and so on.

Impressive video - thanks for sharing that with us. Do you have concrete ideas to help them?
LightWolf
Thanks tyke, yes they are being slaughtered at high rates and is a very sad thing. I have what you would call a wolf in spirit with me at all times. I call him Spirit Wolf, he has been with me for many lives now. He has a very sad heart at times and whether others believe in this or not, i can feel his pain. So i decided since others where talking about using their Dolphin for a good cause, i could not only give those who believe a free website, but also use the site to help the Wolves.

Now as see more for your question mallorca, ideas i have alot of, time i have not..lol It is hard to find the right people to be able to reach out to that can help me with this, as this is all new to me. Finding a charity that REALLY does give peoples loving donations to the save the wolves fund is very hard to find. But rest assure i WILL find someone to help me. This is so near and dear to my heart that it must not fail. Thank you both for response, wasn't sure how others here would except it.

Thanks for the post LightWolf. I receive the care2 stuff and there is a lot about the wolfs on there. I post it at my forum site. I also started a new site with a forum for my mom. She is a vet tech and always cares for the animals. I will pm you the addresses and see if you would like to join her.. Thanks again.

I had the privilege of seeing two of these animals in the wild and up close. Both of them were in the strangest places, and that made me wonder how they got there. The first one was in rural PA, and when I told people, no one believed me because the wolf population of PA was supposed to be zero... but I know what I saw. It's pretty hard to mistake one of these animals for something else when it's 10 feet away from you. The second time I saw one, was in the spring at Trail Ridge Pass, CO... elevation see more 12,000 ft +. Trail Ridge Pass is well above the timberline, and was snow covered. This made me wonder what a wolf was doing at 12,000 feet, and a very long way from any source of food. I had a pack of beef jerky in my pocket that I left on the ground before I left the scene, so I hope it enjoyed the snack.

LightWolf, are wolves known to travel great distances on their own?
LightWolf
It seems to me that when people see Wolves in areas like this, they were at one time someones illegal pet, and was turned loose because they were not able to domesticate them. And yes Wolves can cover great distances, but usually go where other Wolves are. But i also believe man kind has no clue about what is out there and Wolves are trying to adapt to mankind hunting them and have found ways to hide.

You're probably right about someone trying to domesticate the two that I saw. In both cases that I mentioned, neither one took any type of defensive or agressive posture... they just seemed curious about me. When I encountered the one in PA, I have to admit, I was glad that more didn't show up.
