RoSoGo.com - a new website powered by Dolphin

Greetings all,

I thought I'd be sharing with everyone the new website we've launched, largely based on Dolphin 6.1.4:

http://www.rosogo.com

RoSoGo is the first online social network dedicated to the coaching industry. I know most websites based on Dolphin are mostly targetting the dating market (apart from iParents and a couple more...).

So I thought I'd share our work with you all, if only to give you an idea of what can be achieved using Dolphin.

Have a nice day,

B.

impressed, nice looks, the only issue i would worry about is the security image, the boonex one is far better and i know of no spam bots that have managed to crack it yet.

Hi Sammie, thx for the feedback. Good point actually: all I've done is changing the background images of the security image - not the code itself. Are we saying that bots can get the image and "read it" ? Hence explaining why it's important to keep the "messy" backgrounds? Thx for your help on this, as I'm not too familiar with all the technical aspects...

newdreamers,

Congratulations on the site. I know it takes a lot of effort to get these things out the door.

I also like how you've done the front page. I thought that was effective.

It feels good to get it to live status doesn't it?

Hell yes it does, thx for the support!

Hi newdreamers,

I really like how you have a Coaches directory and a Members directory. I didn't know you could do this with Dolphin. (I am actually new to Dolphin so lots of great things are surprising me.)

I think this is really effective because your site will get both kinds of people, coaches and those looking for a coach.

Good luck to you! I wish you great success!

Cheers - The coaches vs members directory is actually based on an enhanced version of a Dolphin "plugin" I made available on one of my other blog entries:

yes the background to the security images are important, but you have ineffect rendered the images usless, the complex backgrounds make it difficult for the bots to pick out the letters and numbers, and boonex resize the codes also making it difficult for the bots to pick out.

Then I shall promptly revert back to the old background images - thx for the heads-up!

Interesting. I am still learning the ropes in Dolphin but really impressed with what I've seen so far.
Hope to catch up soon!!
Good Job newdreamers! Looking good.
