Profile photos aren't being displayed.

I am stuck up at very silly problem. Whenever some new users get registered at my Dolphin powered site, they aren't able to see the photos they upload as Profile Photos. Old users are able to upload their Profile Photos.
I checked up in database and found that, whenever new users are trying to upload the pictures, the name in the database and name of the file (media/images/profile/#) are different.
I checked uploadPhoto.php page and was surprised to see that only one variable "sFileName" is used to make the database entry and file name creation.
So I am quite confused, what might be going wrong that file names are being generated different than the database entry name.
If anyone has idea, then please help me out.
