Photo Albums and Batch Upload

I see some blogs have been answered by the Boonex team so I thought I'd give it a shot.  I am wondering if there are plans to implement the extremely important feature of Photo Albums in Dolphin, and along with it, multiple photo file upload ability.  My feeling is that Dolphin suffers greatly for not having these features, they really are a major building block of a successful social site.  MySpace's photo albums and multiple file upload widget is top notch.

If the answer is "No we are not planning this" that's fine, but please let us know one way or the other.  Thanks Boonex.

This is not a direct answer to your question... but, until these features will maybe be implemented in the Dolphin core script, you will find good solutions there: http://www.expertzzz.com/Downloadz/home/author/scriptologist/

Great mods + great support ;-)

Yes, I had seen scriptologist's mod for this..it's nice and does indeed provide the functionality, but 1) I just can't bring myself to pay for what should be a core function of any social software and 2) his multiple file upload function still requires the user to select each photo individually to upload (click Browse button, navigate to photo, select it, hit OK, repeat for each photo, then upload at the end). The MySpace widget that I mentioned allows the user to select a bunch of photos all at see more once, it's much more convenient, and also it provides two progress bars, one for overall complete and one for individual photo. Coming back to Dolphin's photo upload after using MySpace's uploader is like going back to the stone ages, lol! ;)

BTW I read elsewhere that the developers have been working lately squashing bugs and even working on a new version. So why isn't Trac being updated? Prior to the release of 6.1 it was being updated almost daily, and it was a good way for us to know what was being worked on, and it saved me and probably many other users from asking a lot of questions. Now, Trac is going untouched. :(

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
