For some reason I got this also.

I had to remove the .htaccess file

Once I did this it was fine.

which .htaccess?.. the one in the orca folder or in the dolphin folder?.. i got dolphin, ray and orca running fine in my localhost but when i tried it in a live site i got those error messages.. my host uses suphp.. i don't know much about that but that may be the one causing the problem..

Remove all php commands from .htaccess and put in the php.ini file. suPHP does not allow php commands in .htaccess (server 500 error).

.htaccess (in Dolphin) comes with one php instruction at the top of the file. Remove it (see above)

If your using php5 put this in .htaccess:
# Use PHP5 as default
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php
Stuart038
That's .htaccess in the root folder!

I ve deleted the .htaccess from the dolphin root directory and still nothing

I have the same problem, have renamed the .htaccess file in Orca (as I had done in Dolphin which fixed that error) but Orca remains with the same error. Any help would be most appreciated.

So has anyone found a solution for this? I've deleted the .htaccess files and nothing. Still get the 500 error, but if I navigate to groups/orca it shows up

I had this problem also. It occurs when files are chmod 777 that should be 755. Found this solution on another server and it worked for me. Problem had nothing to do with .htaccess files.
zaint
you're are right, its beacause of the permissions, i've checked orca file, it was in 777 instead of 755...
zaint
so, how do i know wich folder is wrong?

Just had the same problem, as blawrimre said check your file perms. you can find the files that need to be chmod by looking at your servers error log.
