Next Step For Boonex To Improve.

This is a positive post in order to help out everyone and let Boonex know what they need to move on to a higher level. The expirence I've had with Dolphin is great and the software is also a great one. There is one thing Boonex is lacking and that is support on the forum.

I have been on the internet for over 10yrs and know the importance of this. I've developed many sites and used many open source software.

Boonex's issue can be solved very quick. How?  Simple. There are many ppl on here willing to pay for support due to the lack of..So, If you have for example 1000 members paying $5 a month for support, I'm sure that's enough to pay someone just to help ppl on this forum.

The support issue will take Boonex to the next level. Hey, it's not my thought, just read and see how other ppl complain about not getting answers.

If Boonex does not provide better support, then ppl will leave. With experience in marketing and on the internet, I can say that it's not always the product but the support and service you receive which determines.

I have read a lot of post where ppl are frustrated about not getting answers on what they post. Boonex needs to understand that time is money and ppl are trying to develop their site to earn money, and without a reply or any help from anyone, they don't feel support and leave...

I have posted questions which never got an answer & I went ahead and solved them on my own, but not everyone is the same.

How will someone feel if when they post a question, it take 2 days for a reply or maybe not get one at all? Pretty frustrating right. Do you think they will feel as if there is support on here? Do you think they would want to continue using Dolphin without any real support?

I think that those who reply to questions and help other ppl are great, due to the fact that It's up to us on the forums to help each other, but it shouldn't be that way for a script like Dolphin which needs much technical suppport..

Remeber, as ppl consider Dolphin as a script to use, they compare their previous expirence with competitors and see if it's a better script to use. Without any support, they will not stay.

Boonex, your script is great in everyway, but please get someone to support the forums and help ppl out.

Well from my experiance over the last 3 to 4 years with Boonex, "I never had a lack of support" !

Don't know how long you been with Boonex but if you got a question and it is not answered right away I would have a bit of patiance cause alot of people do have a life outside of this, I am saying this in a nice way.

Just remember the differance between others is Boonex is FREE to use and run where other software companies WANT you to pay before running or using there software where BOONEX is ALWAYS FREE to use at ANYTIME!

Well the support id far and in between but Technoman is right it is free.any questions that was never answered and if was not giving the right answer to correct the problem. But with that I have taken the boonex software and edited the script myself to get what I wanted out of it. With your question about security I was looking for the same thing and have found that their was a bug in the script where you didnt need a log on or be a member to get on the site and do the same as the members. So with see more out getting the answer I went ahead and edited the script to secure the site so that couldnt happen again. Their are other things I have been looking for and asking with out any answer but I have a few questions that was. With the one that wasnt I am going to go read the script and change it myself.

There are 2 things I'd like to contribute to this convo. First, we know that boonex has been super hard at work with D7 and such. Think of it like this. The BoonEx gods are building us a new Ark to ferry the lot of us into the next biggest thing. Sadly you and I both joined when this was in full swing. That being said, this is open source and a community of people who love and use the software. I have not had any issues that I could not get past either by issues other people had see more prior to mine and using their results, or by asking people questions, even googling sometimes. That being said, I read a post earlier talking about helping more people with the things you already know and they may not. It is a great idea because when you think about it, you help people and build that relationship; much the same way neighbors help each other. I for one would not pay 5$ a month for support. The amount is small enopugh, but I prefer to learn by doing, not having someone else solve my problems for me. I also feel that support is a 2 way street. Any how, I will get off my soap box now. If I can personaly help you please let me know. I am off and on , but I'll get back to any issues. And should I not know, at least we can look for an answer together. Cheers!
