I just found out about boonex after hearing an interview with the owner of the company on webmaster radio. I even listened to it twice as there was some good information in it. I had been thinking of starting a dating/community site but wasn't sure what to use.
Also I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that didn't work, or I got bored of later. Being able to use it for free is great for new sites. If my site starts to make money I will definitely look into buying a license.
It's been just two days and now I have 40 members. Ok I did create a couple of profiles myself just to get started and make sure everything was working. I am using the default template and it suits my needs for now.
Here's my Awstats for the past couple of days:
28 May 2009 | 15 | 6571 | 9127 | 15.36 MB |
29 May 2009 | 118 | 11565 | 23569 | 80.29 MB |
30 May 2009 | 229 | 15943 | 37491 | 586.71 MB |
I only chose the basic hosting package and sometimes the site isn't connecting. If traffic continues to grow I am going to have to spend more on hosting and start putting ads on the site sooner than I would have liked.
I love your ide in the forums about a marketing discussion. I'm sure you'll add positively to the group here.
One question though "webmaster radio" how do you get that then. Please tell me its an internet podcast thing and not what sounds like an American radio station that i wont be able to listen to. ( im going to google it now i think) :-)
