New members do not receive email confirmation message 6.0.0004

My outgoing email messages were working fine in version 6.0.0003 but now that I upgraded to version 6.0.0004 new members do not receive their welcome message - so the cannot click the link to confirm their membership. In advanced settings I have the "New user notify" option checked. What should I do to correct this email problem?

Seems there is a problem with the outgoing mail settings. Do you know where I can find those settings?

You can also check email setting in file inc/header.inc.php

Have you set your cronjob...on tags, notifies and cmd.
All settings are good as well as the cron jobs...still no mail sent out. Is there a small script that will check to see if your server is setup right?
