Hello.

To test whether your PHP is compiled with mbstring or not, you need to create a file in your site's home directory and name it, for example, phptest.php

The contents of the file should be as follows:

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

Then run this file in a browser like this:
http://your_site_url/phptest.php

and read the info it generates. If this info contains the Mbstring section, then it is installed. In that case, the problem will need a further expertise.
