Very interesting. I hadn't really thought about it, but I suppose you could setup a cluster. Really before you needed to cluster you could easily manage 10k plus users with a dedicated MySQL server, and dedicated apache servers round robin DNS. I've hosted forums with 25k users and we pulled it off with only 4 servers.

I would love to hear if anyone has pulled off any clustering / fail over.

Yeah, Andrey mentioned Server Clustering, awhile back, and was slated for 6.1 release.

I read that posting too, that dolphin supports clustering but it comes with a cost. right now i have a shared hosting and receive a large storage space which is unmatched my any other hosting companies(1500gb) which is hard to give up when theres alot of videos and pic/music to host. The once who do support clustering only offer min. space less then 5gb to 10gb with the average cost of $30/month which isnt practicle for me at this time.

but at the sametime, like to see a dolphin site with a large see more population other then boonex.us just get a feel for the performance.
