Links Still present after purchasing ad-free license

To all those considering purchasing the ad-free license, here is a letter that I wrote to Boonex regarding the links that still remain after supposedly purchasing an 'ad-free license.' I will post a follow-up comment as soon as I have received a reply from Boonex about this problem.

Hi there,

I have been reading the forums on the Boonex site, and it seems that there is a common problem with links not being removed after an ad-free license has been purchased. It appears that this is a problem with the new version of Dolphin (6.1) because there have been posts in modmysite.com that say that all links were removed after purchasing this license when using versions below 6.1. The Dolphin link has been removed but the orca and ray links as well as the 'powered by' link remain. I am happy that the Dolphin link has been removed because this is what I paid for, but I had expected complete link removal for my $39 purchase and would not be prepared to pay for ray and orca licenses because I have no use for either. How can this issue be resolved?

Sincerely,
Nick

Why are you so upset? It is very simple. Maybe in Australia these thing are ok to do , but not anywhere else. An open source is one thing but once you charge me 1 cent, then you have to comply to all rules and regulations...I have the same issue, I gave them a chance to fix it, if not, then Visa, MasterCard and PayPal will know about this practice(fraudelent billing), as well ad FBI and Intepol( since there was monetary transaction accross the state border). If you say pay 39 or 99 for no boonex see more links then thats whats going to be....but if you are going to piss on me and say its raining then you got a big problem since money is involved.
Boonex.com made me loose a LOT of money when they "merged" with aewebworks ( see www.idatematch.com( I paid $690for software and it crashed just like now your site crashes if its not uner their "conditions") and I am still loosing money following instructions on their website.
I am ok since I print all the posts and issues from you guys to prove my case.
Soon it will be known how much my dollar is worth and how much my time cost.

Nothing much to say.... I love Boonex products. But feel very sad when ever I see that they are not able to provide proper support and customer service.

I would say they should Focus on CU Serive as well as on support tooooooo if they want to be on top of the Market.

Here is the response I received this morning

Hi Nick!

First of all, thanks for using our products and services.

Well, the new Dolphin version has a bunch of new features and most part of Dolphin code has been re-written. The footer system as well, but it's became better. Before, in Dolphin 6.0 ordering a Dolphin ad free license you removed BoonEx footers from your Dolphin pages but Orca's link and Ray banners stayed and to be able to remove them you had to purchase ad free licenses for see more Ray Widgets and Orca as well. Now, in the new Dolphin version, all footers (from Orca pages, Ray banners and logo) will be removed from all over the site as soon as you register its ad free license.

We didn't change anything with the licenses, we just made automative footers system removal much better.

From the way I understand this email, those links should be gone...Please comment
Nas,

And what seems to be your problem ??

While your printing these out and such, why not make it clear, that "nothing to do with the licenses causes your site to crash , unless you attempt to manually remove the license information"

I don't understand your point CyberXing. This issue has nothing to do with what you are talking about.

The point I am making is that I bought an
'ad-free license' of dolphin but ads remain.

Why would I pay $39 to simply have the dolphin link removed and have two other links as well as the 'powered by' link remain on my page? What is the point in doing that?

This is what I read on the Boonex website;

'Ad-Free License
$39/year. $99/unlimited. BoonEx software without BoonEx ads or links' see more

and purchased this license based on the fact it says 'without Boonex ads or link.' I am sorry, but this is very plain and simple - what I paid for is not what i received and I, as well as many others feel misled and cheated.

I can appreciate the fact that Boonex wants to make money from the software, but the way this is being done is not above board.
The point is this.

You ONLY BOUGHT an ad-free license for 1 of the products (Dolphin) why would you expect the others to be removed because of that ??

You want to remove the others, then purchase those as well.

And the " 'Ad-Free License
$39/year. $99/unlimited. BoonEx software without BoonEx ads or links' "

is not what was next to what you purchased. The claim by Boonex is legit, as you can purchase each of the items to make them without ads or links.

Here was Boonex's response to the last email that was sent;

Hi nick!

Ray and Orca logos will be removed as soon as you register Ray and Orca ad free licenses. You needn't order licenses for all Ray widgets, Ray logo will be removed if you are using at least one ad free license for any Ray widget.

And here is the response email that I sent;

Dear Lyubov,

In the paragraph below, you say that before, buying an ad-free license meant that you had to buy orca and ray licenses and you went see more on to say that now, that all links will be removed form all over the site as soon as you register its ad free license.

Before, in Dolphin 6.0 ordering a Dolphin ad free license you removed BoonEx footers from your Dolphin pages but Orca's link and Ray banners stayed and to be able to remove them you had to purchase ad free licenses for Ray Widgets and Orca as well. Now, in the new Dolphin version, all footers (from Orca pages, Ray banners and logo) will be removed from all over the site as soon as you register its ad free license

So essentially, you are saying that nothing has changed. Before, you had to purchase licenses separately, and now also, you need to purchase licenses seperately. Is there something I am missing here?

Basically, I don't have any use for Ray or Orca and only have a use for Dolphin. If I were using either Ray or Orca, I would be glad to part with another $80, but i am not. I feel misled and cheated by the following claim on your website as do many other people who have paid for the supposedly 'ad-free license';

Ad-Free License
$39/year. $99/unlimited. BoonEx software without BoonEx ads or links.

I, as many other do, feel that Boonex should provide what has been promised in this claim and if not then this will be an ongoing issue that will only harm the Boonex brand.

Regards,
Nick
In your post above you say this :

"Now, in the new Dolphin version, all footers (from Orca pages, Ray banners and logo) will be removed from all over the site as soon as you register its ad free license"

And what Lyubov, said was "Will be removed from all over the site as soon as you REGISTER ITS as free license"

The key word is "Its" for the products that you purchased "its" ad-free license for, "It" was removed.
