How to keep original video clip ?

Sorry if this question is stupid, but is there a way to keep the original videos uploaded by a user. Currently there is only the converted .flv file, but I would like also to keep the original uploaded video.

Also is there a way to upload a video to the site via regular POST request from an external web site / application ?

On the first question, to my knowledge, it doesn't actually "upload" the original file. The ffmeg.exe file is executed from your server in the background on the clients machine, it converts the file to ".flv" and uploads that to the video directory. I could be wrong, but that is my understanding.

I"m not completely clear on your second question. Are you wanting another resource converting the videos?

I want to be able to upload the movies from a 3rd party web site to my web site by giving the other sites some kind of form or API that they can use to send files to my site from their site or client application

the movies are kept on the server in the original format.
you'll find both the .mpg and .flv files in the following folder
/public_html/ray/modules/movie/files/

/media/video is a folder Dolphin could possibly use as well. I havent used the new Video Player yet, but I imagine that the files(MPEG) are kept their.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
