How to cutomize the search box

I was interested in finding out how I can change the search box to search for certain people through postal code/ zipcode instead of male or female.
I would also like to change:
I am a (customize these setting)
Seeking a (customize these settings)
aged I would like removed
and....
Change the background color

All these things I would like to work with the site so I need to correct setting to get this to work properly together.

Log into your Admin page, go to Settings, Profile Fields Mgr. click add a new field, with any thing you want. I would choose drop down list, its the best option. You can then look on the site to make sure it set the way you like. If your not happy with it, simply hit the red x to delete your added entry.

PS: I would not edit anything in the exsisting drop down boxes, this may cause the features not to work correctly
