I get all the way through the installation process AND permissions reversal, when I click "next" I get Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost. and this is in the address bar: http://localhost/Dolphin/index.php HELP!!! I'm creating a site that starts with Joomla and has a Dolphin community built in. I'm tring to prove that an entire site and community can be built with all open source software.

no you cant use localhost as http for outside users
( only for your inside connection)
( you need a .com, .ca, .net etc ...)

Delete the first line of the htaccess file. If that doesnt work rename the file to htaccess.txt

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
