FAQ: What is Media Server? Why should I install it?

BoonEx posted 27th of February 2011 in Dolphin.pro News. 0 comments.

The Media Server is a special server which should be installed on your web server to have Flash apps: chat, whiteboard, video recorder etc up and running properly. If you have subscribed or are going to subscribe with one of the hosting companies listed on boonex.com/hosting, you probably won't need to have Media server installed. Almost all of the listed companies offer a Media server hosted solution for free to Dolphin users. Once Dolphin is installed, you will need to make some necessary settings changes in the Dolphin admin panel to be connected to Media server hosted by your hosting provider. All the data to set
it up will be provided by your hosting company.
