Duplicate meta descriptions

My Dolphin site is showing 205 duplicate meta descriptions and 101 duplicate title tags in google web crawl content analysis. I would like to find out the reason for this and a way to change it. also does it effect your google indexing?

Dolphin is unfortunately using the same meta description for all the pages over the site. It's not google friendly at all. A solution is to create a new dynamic meta system. I duplicated title meta system using new languages strings for pages, sometime putting the title into meta, sometimes putting some variables, sometimes concatening languages strings, title or other data. Not to complicate but a little bit long to do!

Godd luck!

Hi I know this is an old post but I just had the same idea using the language strings to define the meta data...and would love to get any feedback on how you did it and if you think it worked well.

Thanks

Hi nancycity, I would like to know how to do this, Is it possible to ignore the Dolphin SEO in admin and just put your own meta data into the relevant html pages? the problem is that google, howver much you like or dislike it is the only and best way to optimize at the moment as it accounts for at laest 34% of all searches worldwide so I really need to optimize for google, maybe the Boonex guys would have something to say about this.

I have found this article which addresses some of the pro's and cons of CMSs Does Content Management Ruin Organic Search? could be interesting to some.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
