Dolphin 6.1RC + Ray 3.5RC Combo!
Getting closer to the release stage! It's amazing how much progress each pre-release version makes, and, today, we show you the Mighty, the Incredible and the Super... Pages Builder! Not like we didn't have one, but now it's a lot more powerful and it actually changes the overall Dolphin experience.
Pages Builder
Now, you're not limited to just two site width options. Instead, you can set any width for your site or individual page types. And, it can be anything from the mere 760px up to stretchy 100% width! And, you do it with Dolphin style!
On top of that - you can now create your own pages! (should I have added more exclamation marks in this post?) Read it again. And again. And now.. once again :) Create your own pages and launch them within your Dolphin-based community adding all the blocks you see in standard pages builders. When you think about it - it's a huge starting point for an imagination workout... How about, say, adding a small Amazon-powered mini-store with RSS from one of your forum threads, news-line and a custom block with a little bit of your talented marketing blurb text. Sounds cool!
Now the builder gives you really tight control over page columns, properly warning you when you narrow things down a bit too aggressively. And don't forget that all changes are instant (albeit there's a "Restore" link for overly-too-joyful souls) and what you see is what your members get ;)
New Comments
.. in other words - GREAT new comments. Now it has the totally coolest comments system available in any community script out there. With multi-step nesting, voting, delayed editing and deleting, all AJAXish and sleeeeek! Don't underestimate comments - this is where 50% of the community life goes. And now they're better than ever.
And...
We almost always have that "and...". Now it's a new homepage promo, which is now not Flash-based, but a JS-based script that lets you load large pictures, resizes them according to your homepage width and rotates them smoothly. No more problems with squeezing your lengthy "Aloha" into the message box. Just prepare a set of nice images - and enjoy the party.
Oh, and tags are now SEO-friendly. And a bunch of bugs have been kissed a sweet goodbye.

The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
Like for example. Lets say I dont want the "Looking For" Field. I cant find a way to remove it or change it. And it shows up in both admin and on the user under my settings.

To reach the perfection, the page builders just need to allow the horizontal division of any page in parts which will be able to contain a different number of columns ;-)
I'm talking about the possibility to have areas with different number of columns on the same page ;-)
Just a dream for me, but possible to do for guys like you who did already much more difficult things :-))

This release provides much more control and power to admin part. Comment system is cool. The features which i personally think should have been added to this version are Scrapbook and albums in profile photos...they are one of the most used features in networking sites...

After creating a new group i am trying to make the first post as owner (from the button post topic (that in the purple up box) and i am getting:

Access denied. You must have special permissions to access this area or you are not logged in.

are your site in free-mode? and are group-orca have compiled language?
I can post as member but not as group owner from the up button.

Alignement problem in the boxes MISC INFO and RATE PROFILE (going to the right step by step)...

Alignement problem... Thumbnails are not in the same column... Icons (Greeting, Send Message are not in the same column).

Content of the box PHOTO GALLERY has a little problem... There is only one thumbnail on the third line (right alignement) and one thumbnail on the fourth line (left alignement)...

Using the search options, the result seems to be correct using the criterias Sex, Age and Country.
While checking the option With Photos Only, the result is incorect... lot (most) of users with photos are missing in the search result :-(
Search for Male, 40 to 55 y.o., Switzerland = 5 members found (2 with profile photo, 3 without profile photo)
Now check With Photos Only = only 1 member in the result... (my own profile doesn't appear in the result but, as I'm not logged, I don't think that the system could know that it is me doing the search ?)
Search for Male, 20 to 50 y.o., Thailand = 20 members found (5 with profile photo, 15 without profile photo)
Now check With Photos Only = only 3 members in the result (must be 5)...
Chat dont work. I have set rms off butt it still says loading rms.boonex.com and nothing happens.
I hope the final release will be final.
You can do it via admin panel-> plugins->orca->manage forum you will see "input license" box there.

The problem is with non latin characters in file title field, tags and description.
As you can see in these pictures there are coming with funny characters:

There is a problem when you display photo on fullscreen.

I've made a sound notification alert add-on for Dolphin and I was wondering if you can consider adding it into the final release. It alerts you when you have a greeting, mail, friend request with various of sound files you can choose from.

Also, it looks like the user voting is still tracked by ip addresses. It would be better to track by user id instead so the system knows what each user voted.
Orca 2 is already integrated into Dolphin. You can check it if download RC1 version.

For instance, when you click on a topic in Boonex.us, it shows the "loading forum topics" dialog which sometimes causes the web browser back button to no longer function. In the Orca 2.0 demo, the "loading forum topics" dialog was removed which is great. Why is it different?

Then go to a topic and then hit the "back" button on your browser. You see that it goes immediately back. But on Boonex.us, it shows a "loading forum topics" screen before going back. Is that because Orca in Boonex.us is not standalone?
Sorry but it's not clear about widgets. What error do you see there ? In Ray base, when try to use widgets as member? RMS doesn't relate to this sections.
About what forum - what link do you try to press ? Did you notice something strange in installation process ?

we need to build clean and good product at this moment. All following features will in future, not now.
As much as the software it's self has come along what impresses me most on the past few releases is the quick response of AndreyP and LeonidS and others to every bug or question posted.
This type of dedication to customer service was the one thing most lacking in the past and brings the Boonex experience into a whole new realm of professionalism.

OMG…! WOW…! OMG…! This project has come so far…! The testing process with getting all of us involved has been great..! I have seen some of my recommendations for fixes and suggestions actually come to like and I know others can see that too. That’s great..! I am running a little behind as I took a few days off for my birthday. But I am going to download right now and install on my dedicated server and continue to play.

Well, I will try to call DIRECTLY Mr. General Director and a CREATOR of Dolphin software to take a look at my recently installed Dolphin 6.1RC + Ray 3.5RC Combo! Maybe I will succeed.
The problem is with MySQL Database instalation I guess. MY hosting company tried hard to help me install it, but at the end they reffered to "Dolphin" as a "TOTAL MESS..." and adviced me to use another see more
if you changed the install folder after install like it said to,just go back and change to install. This will reinstall your dolphin and no need to change database name,just "must" drop all tables in dolphin database in your cpanel or hosting admin section. This should help. I have seen this happen to me when i see more
