"The Big Cleanup" was announced last week. This meant that we reviewed all content on Unity and removed everything which is out of the new Rules. This is still in progress but not as intensively as last week.
So, many posts containing attacks, off-topic, support issues, ads, etc in Blogs were deleted/hidden according to the Rules.
Starting from now, if the post is going to be deleted/made hidden by Moderators or Admins, the author of the post will be warned by Moderators or Admins via PM with a link to the point of the Rule they've broken.
The current moderation tools are not so refined at the moment, and we have mentioned this many times. So, we will try to make them as flexible and convenient as possible in D7.
If you see that your post has been removed and you can't figure out why, feel free to contact me at org@boonex.com
And, if others you see should be deleted, feel free to report it.

We will do this when consolidating all into one system on BoonEx.com using D7.
I am deeply grateful to you for this course of action. The new "rules" are comprehensive and clear and I for one will "comply".
When newcomers visit the Unity website they come to "feel the pulse" of Boonex and the Boonex Blog is the most personal and direct portal into the community environment. These "first impressions" must be good ones if we (the community) hope to prosper.
TWO THUMBS UP!!!!

Yes, but:
unfortunate truths must not be deleted,
the normal. we must manage the flow.
we're not deleting posts that critique BoonEx constructively. Difference between "BoonEx sucks" and "Trac hasn't been updated for 2 weeks" should be clearly understood by Unity members.
we're now deleting every attempt to discuss personalities in Public. Be it a real-deal "issue" or just expression of dislike. This means that we're likely to delete a legit report of misbehaving Expert, for example, since we prefer to listen to arguments in private see more

A few months back unity member 'physicalmediums' asked her first simple question here in a blog.
Instead of the 'experts' giving her an answer they were very rude to her and said something along the lines of "If you are a medium you should already know the answer to that question".
I got similar treatment when I first asked questions here and I learned to ask my questions in Pms.
Thats mostly how I help also. see more
I´ve seen several members at Unity criticize the inclusion of links to commercial or personal sites. This happened, specially, when the posting member was advertising services.
As a newbie, I find these links, previews and samples to be of huge importance, since they not only allow me to test drive dolphin sites, but also give me an idea of what could be done with this software.
For advanced users it would also be a great way to see what others are doing and to see more
I know something like this could be done in the communities, but the way it is built today is quite complicated to browse (at least for me).
It could be a start, but I´m taking about a directory of sites with a brief (searchable) description. The way it is today, you have to search trough pages and pages of sites under 1 category, without enough info in the short description so you have to enter to see...
You´re right in a way, though. Maybe a little tune up to the communities see more
