Chat - Dont need M/F and age

Looking at the Chat in 7.0. There has been a historical issue that has not been fixed. Chat dentifies a user by M/F age etc. The applications I am looking to build are for business. I do not need M/F etc (or can have M/F). It is not politically correct. I need other fields identified as per the needs on my users (e.g. Membership type, first name, etc).

Can anyone provide me options here. My feeling is the the chat system should be fexible so that a business can use the sw It should have adjustable fields admin to change the defaults. Not everyone is wanting a dating site.

Any ideas?

Thank you for posting this blog - this is an important issue for me also. Boonex has actually done a great job of making D7 more appropriate for business, and this is one of the few issues left. With D6 it was a nightmare - there were m/f and age issues everywhere, and even little "heart" icons buried in the code - it took quite a bit of work to make it minimally acceptable for business. Please let me know if you find a solution to this.
