Can't View Member's Profile

Hi kids,

I can't view my test profile :(. I emailed support yesterday, but I haven't received a response yet. If anybody can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

 I get the following error:

Not Found

The requested URL /test was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I have the same problem.
The link points to:

http://whatever/root-directory/{username}

where {username} is the username of the desired user-profile.

Anyone here having a workaround or something helpful?

I got it...edit your .htaccess file. Delete the following line: php_flag register_globals Off and you should be up and running. Let me know how it goes...

no, it doesn't work ... :-(
server restarted, cache deleted,....

the link in "My Profile" points to this 404-page, too.

Must be something with your server and the .htaccess file. Perhaps contact your host?

I run it on a local webserver....
if i change the adress manually from:

http://whatever/root-directory/{username}

to:

http://whatever/root-directory/profile.php?ID={username}

I get to the correct page...
but where have i to change this??
shotthebreeze
I didn't find the need to change it after I deleted that row. What version are you running?
Count78
I have the latest version and installed it 2 hours ago.
Maybe I can figure it out tomorrow...

THX!!

yah the easiest for this ( username) giving a error !
_______________
go to APACHE
extensions * enable * rewrite_module
+++++++++++++
that will solve your profile problem !!! :)

Same here! I can't view my member profile and my own account. But my member can view their own profile.

How can I access the APACHE? I mean what to do?

Rename the htaccess file to htacess.txt
and disable friendly URL's in the Admin Panel.

This will remove the /Username SEO friendly URL -- but until you can get the htaccess settings correct - that will at least let you/your members view other people's profiles.

I had the same problem; but just fixed it!
Re-upload your htacess file and you should be ok. (just make sure it is not blank...)
Ciao!
