Bug Report for Dolphin 6.1.1 #2

mondrus posted 21st of May 2008 in Community Voice. 9 comments.

In the profile page there are 2 issues:

1) Photos fade in and out on a loop. I would assume that that might happen if there's more than 1 photo, but I only have 1

2) Text for Rate Profile and Member Forums Posts come up as keys and not text. In other words _Rate Profile and not Rate Profile.

There are several places throughout the script where there are no language keys established. This is easily resolved by creating the key.

Just change the keys to normal text in admin settings languages.
Eg: find Ray Chat.. comes up with _Ray_Chat then edit to in plain text Your Cam Chat then save.
Refresh your chat page and title becomes Your Cam Chat and not Ray Chat.
I found out the hard way, change language settings don't change your script files ever.

and no chat admin or moderator controls for the chat rooms.

Yer so I've found out and is truth Sammie.
Waiting for upgrades on that for sure.
Just ban for now and worst case reboot you vps.

To Bug 1:
Its not a BUG, just deactivate in Admin/Settings/Advanced Settings the following option:
"New Gallery Feature for Profile Photos"
Then it is working ;)

thanks for the fix on that issue I also was bothered by that one.

I really wish there was a place on this site that we could see all of the bugs (or whatever you want to call them) and the fixes for them so I dont have to spend 5 hours looking through blog after blog trying to find some one that might have the same problem as I do and hope that some one might have given them good advice. when I e-mailed for support all I got was give me your "ftp account" you know its nice that you see more would just go fix something but I need to know how to do it myself so I don't have to wait for two weeks for it to be done.

sorry for the rant but the point of all of this is very simple if you know there is a problem with something then you really need to make this a lot easier for your clients to find a solution for an easy fix.

Actually Jerry, the right way to do this is:
if count(photos)<2 DO NOT ROTATE.

I want rotations. Just not if there's only 1 or 0 photos.

As far as the keys are concerned, why should I create them? It's a public release, there are LOTS of people with this issue. Why doesn't someone, or the developer fix the issue and post? If I had time I would, but ....

;-)
