Authorization to Utilize Public Code Posts

Codesatori came up with a great idea, and I'd like to just give it some space of it's own so all of us who would like to participate in it can do so.  Basically, the theory is that there may be question as to in what ways we can utilize code snippets that many of us place in a public location on the Unity site.  Codesatori gave same great examples of what he deems appropriate and I'll let him list those for you.

Any code snippet that I public post as being my own, you are free to use as you see fit in the realm of the free world.  This basically means you can't charge others for it.  If it's a free mod I have posted in the Market then feel free to use it and share it, just remember, don't accidentally claim it as your own (ie:  just admit where it came from).

It would be great if others would pick up with what code-satori has suggested and post your own personal rules for when others can copy your free work snippets.  I know many of you like HL, Mrpowless, Magnasoft, Prozac (sic) and so many others do this on a regular basis.  Unity is supposed to be about sharing, so in the realm of the things that have happened this week, let's all show how much we are willing to share and work together again.

Keep in mind, Boonex did take the first step in fixing all of this.

Any modifications, etc. that I post that is not owned by anyone else is generally under the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike License (cc by-sa). Essentially, you are free to alter and redistribute the work, but you must give credit to myself and the others involved.

I'm working on several projects, as you yourself know. I'm hoping to start releasing some things soon, which will of course all be available freely to those here.
Once again, I'm happy for anyone to reuse my code any way that will improve the Dolphin experience. As long as you keep your improvements free as well.

Well look at that, I got my fifteen minutes of fame here. Let's tidy it up a bit from my side then, since we're going prime time. Here's a quick draft that should be good enough to get started.

It see more should 1) keep everyone happy, 2) give maximum freedom to everyone, and 3) sufficiently cover my ass in the event of a conflict. =)

If someone thinks this is overkill and I'm mad as a box of frogs, they got the second part right, but the more people are clear on what's what and where they stand, the less room there is for misunderstandings and conflicts to rise.

You're bat-shit crazy, CodeSatory, but in a good way.

The general idea is that if I take a total overkill approach, the rest of the lot will have to take at least a medium level approach, and we're getting somewhere above the rock bottom at the end of the day. Coincidentally a moderate level of insanity makes for grand adventures and lots of good times! =D (I'm also a 500+cpm typist, a convenience that makes it easy to share the madness in abundant quantities; so that was a 12 minute license there.)
I like the way this is really coming together with everyone. If everything worked this well on here, I bet we'd be at version 9.7 by now. Lot of good tips and snippets already in the forums as well... keep it up!
