Alternate Forum Integration with Dolphin 6.1

I need to use an alternative to the Orca Forum but I need to integrate it if I do use a different forum. Has anyone yet integrated an alternate Forum Platform with Dolphin 6.1 successfully? My preferred platform would be SMF. Would love to hear from you....Thanks!
