404 error with Articles

I can go in to Admin Panel and create articles. The show up on Home page in the section listed "Articles". However, the link at top of page to articles points to www.myurl.com/articles, where the directory "articles" doesnt exist.

I found I can type www.myurl.com/articles.php and get the section to load. Now when I clcik on the different catagory links I get the 404 again.

What screwed up where to create this and whats the simple fix?

Did you just do an update? It looks like the script is pointing to the 'SEO' version of the url.

again :) :
1. disable friendly permalinks for articles and recompile menu
2. enable mod_rewrite at your server

I am also having this problem. I added new article categories, but when I click on them I'm getting a 404. How do I disable friendly permalinks for articles or enable mod_rewrite?
