This module is a simple person-to-person chat and messaging system. It adds another way of communication for your members. The main goal of this way is simplicity.
As a messaging system it allows members to send messages to other members very easily even without leaving their profile page. And as a chat it keeps the full history of all chats of a member and also it allows to converse very quickly and easily.

As a messaging system it allows members to send messages to other members very easily even without leaving their profile page. And as a chat it keeps the full history of all chats of a member and also it allows to converse very quickly and easily.
Here is the list of the main module's features:
- All chats are ordered by the time of last message (newest first)
- Chats which are having unread messages are marked with color (green)
- Chat page uses AJAX updates so no page reload required to see new messages
- All new messages are marked by "New" icon when received
- Chat body is located in a scrollable block thus keeping the page's height constant
- Messages could be sent by hitting the Ctrl+Enter combination thus allowing to send messages even faster
- Keeps all chats history
- Allows to clear the entire chat history or delete a particular message only
- Notifies about new messages in a small popup window + a notification number of new chats in member menu
- Keeps a list of latest chats in a member menu block
- Provides an ability to send a message directly from a profile view page or any other page which displays profile's icon/avatar without leaving the page
- Automatically makes all links in the message clickable
- Allows to send messages to offline members
- Pays respect to privacy settings set in our Contact Privacy module
- Integrated with Dolphin's membership levels system. Thus the ability to send messages can be fully controlled via membership levels settings.
- Sound notification upon receiving a new message in chat window
- Sound notification upon receiving a popup notification about a new message even when not in chat

The following list of features describes the Simple Chat 2.0 only:
- Provides a lot of admin controllable settings
- Shows a link to video messenger (if the module is installed) in chat window. Thus provides an easy way for the members to switch to the Dolphin's video chat.
- Allows to choose between two different keyboard shortcuts for sending messages Ctrl+Enter or just Enter (in this case Ctrl+Enter adds a line break)
- The module respects block lists now, i.e. a member which is being blocked is unable to contact a person who blocked him
- Automatically cleans up the database from an old messages
- Provides an automatic replacement filter which replaces the selected words with an asterisks [*]
- Sends out notifications to members who received a message in chat while being offline.
- Allows to open chat in a popup window
- Allows to use smiles. On top of this smiles can be easily replaced/added simply by uploading smiles' images (gif files) to a module's folder.
- Makes a popup window blinking in a taskbar upon receiving a new message.
- NEW Automaticlly converts youtube links into embed videos.
- NEW Allows to easily share pictures (including animated GIFs).
- NEW Allows to automatically downscale shared pictures.

Note:
- RU language (and any other as well) file has to be polish by hands
- need to fix bugs if site is installed in subdirectory
