The module is a lightweight version of Dolphin's profiles match system. It puts a "People You May Like" blocks on My Profile page, My Account page and Homepage. The block shows matched randomly ordered profiles along with a quick popup window that shows the matched fields.
The list of fields that are being used to determine a match is customizable by admin. It supports a "partial" match for multiple-select type and for Date type fields. And also it allows to match fields using "not equal" condition, such as the Sex field where it becomes possible to display profiles of an opposite Sex only.
It may be useful for dating sites to show possible matches (the very common use case is to show profiles of an opposite Sex, approximately the same age, from the same Country).
But it also can be useful for professional sites to help people find profiles with similar interests, hobbies, skills and so on.
