This is a fun game that is hugely popular on Top Social sites such as meetme.com (formerly myyearbook.com) and tagged.com Members have the ability to create Virtual Pets which can be purchased by other members. This is an excellent method to facilitate social interaction on your site and is an indirect method for members to meet new people, make new friends and become more popular.
ADDING A PET
You can add the following for your Pet :
a) Title
b) Slogan
c) Description
d) A Picture
PET GIFTS
Members can choose to donate Pets to other members as a Gift.
The process of giving a Gift flows like this :
a) The member choose a friend to send the Pet Gift to.
b) The member can optionally choose to send a message along with the Gift.
c) The member choose which of his Pet to give.
d) The member choose a Gift Wrap to cover the Gift.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Achievements are given out to persons who have met certain criteria. The following achievements are available :
Big Spender - Buy a pet for certain amount of cash.
Frequent Shopper - Make a certain amount pets purchases.
Hot Stuff - Your Pets value is at least a certain amount.
Perfect Attendance - Visit Pets at least a certain amount days in a row.
Pets Lover - Own at least a certain amount of pets.
Successful Tycoon - Your Assets is at least a certain amount.
RANK PAGE
This page has two sections :
Top People - This section shows a rank of persons based on the number of Pets Owned.
Top Worth - This section shows a rank of persons based on the size of their Assets.
In both cases, the Rank can be filtered by Friends Only or Everyone.
BUYING PETS
Members can use Pets Cash to buy Pets that they like.
When a Pet is bought, its value increases by a percentage (configured by Administrator).
The previous owner receive a percentage cash profit (configured by Administrator)..
The total Assets and Worth of the purchaser is increased with the purchase.
Members with highest Worth and Assets and get a spot on the Leader board.
POINTS SWAPPING
For those who have my Points mod, there is a built-in swapping facility in this module that allows converting of Points into Pet Cash. You can checkout the Points mod here
WISHLIST
Members can add Pets they are interested in to their wishlist so they can follow up with them and probably buy later.
