This modules allows any number of persons to come together in an online environment to fulfil a stated objective or goal. The persons can be previously known to each other already or someone can just pitch an idea and solicit response from interested persons who may be able to assist in various ways.
Ask for Contributions
The Collaboration Admins can create different types of Contribution needed (eg. Monetary, Expertise, Time etc).
The details of what is needed is posted and a desired date of fulfilment is stated. It is also possible to promise incentives for making a contribution.
Persons who are interested in participating can pledge to provide any of the contributions.
A contribution can be flagged as completed/fulfilled when all the resources required have been provided by participants.
Members
It is possible for the Admins to allow persons to join a Collaboration based on them meeting certain criteria(they are site members or friends etc).
It is also possible to disable voluntary membership and the Admins will only manually add those persons who will be part of the collaboration team.
Suggestions
It is possible to solicit suggestions regarding a collaboration effort. This can be a good way to get free advice on how to improve or better attain the objective. There is the possibility to configure who can post suggestions (members only, friends only etc.)
Feedback
The admins can periodically post feedback giving updates and progress reports so that persons who are collaborating can be kept in the loop on what is happening.
Organizers
Each Collaboration that is posted can have multiple organizers who all have administration privileges to manage the listing.
