This is another method of establishing connections on a site. This allows members to flag others they are family members with. This is a good compliment to the existing friends feature.
It is possible for the site administrator to create predefined family connection types that members can choose from (Father, Wife, Cousin, Mother-in-Law etc.). This gives a great amount of flexibility and enhances the social atmosphere of your site.
A member can create multiple family connections with other members and it is even possible to establish more than one type of family connection with the same member.
HOW IT WORKS
When a member flags another as being a family member, a confirmation email is sent to the inbox of the member flagged. That member can then either accept or reject the request.
PROFILE PAGE
Display Block on Profile Page to show details of members family connections.
"Add Family" button shown in Actions Block that allows you to quickly flag someone as a family member.
ACCOUNT PAGE
Display Block on Member Account Page to show pending family connection requests.
WALL INTEGRATION
Wall is updated when a member is flagged as a family of another members or when the member "breaks off" a family connection.
