Seeking experienced Dolphin developer

The Fourth Estate Public Benefit Corp is looking for a Dolphin Developer (full-stack) to join us in making our our Dolphin powered network the best it can possibly.

You'll be working to extend Dolphin's capabilities, developing modules, squashing bugs, making dolphin beautiful, improving processes, or anything in between.

We are looking for one very awesome person to grow with the company and help build the next-generation news organization.

This project will have very modest time requirements during our beta, however has full-time and long-term potential for the right person as the network gains traction.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Dolphin, and related modules and applications.

Solve problems and squash bugs as they arise as we scale and grow our member base.

Work to integrate new and existing services and products.

 

Required Skills

  • Experience writing and shipping code with a modern web application framework (Python, Django, etc…).
  • Experience with an Dolphin's stack.
  • Command of modern web browsers.
  • Experience with version control fundamentals.
  • Understanding of AWS, Linode, and server administration.
  • Comfortable on a command line in a Linux environment, Ubuntu preferred.
  • Experience with non-profits/associations a big plus.
  • Must be able to effectively telecommute
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and healthy sense of humor.
  • You should work and play well with others and be solutions oriented.
  • Must have a respect for the adherence to deadlines.
