Does someone can help with data backup

I made backup of webpage afther doing update... I have all users back, avatars, wall messages, profile rates and all I wanted to keep... but I cannot connect pictures with my users.. Do you know what is missing and what I need to do? where to upload photos so i get them to right place? I try to upload them to modules/pictures data/files and I see them in admin/modules/photos but when I click on the photo it said data is not found ( I erased that upload).. any Ideas?
