using Shoot on 7.1

If i use 'Shoot" it won't upload photo, anyone know why? See video

 check the permissions for the module in /flash/modules

The upload functions are in the member menu as well.

True, but i think something went wrong in the upgrade who knows, anyway i have to restore & upgrade in the future

Can someone please help me here with these issues. They are not custom mods issues, they are dolphin default mods. I understand its in the beginning stages and like everything, it needs a period to hopefully become a fully stable. I am having my 7.0.9 restored but i really don't want to get rid of the 7.1 that i worked on for the past 4 or 5 days, i think its an awesome version. Can someone please help me?

If you want i can let you try one of my rms servers and see if that's the issue but, if your going back to 7.0.9 then i don't see how that would help.

@Dolphin, so ur saying that these issues are or might be caused by rms?

I hear you, i actually went back to 7.0.9, but the 7.1 that i had upgraded to, is still there in a sub so i can build on it little by little, i am just trying to figure out how to install the 7.1.1bets that newton sent me the other day. Thank you!!!

I'll send you a PM with rms info in a minute... so you can try it on the 7.1 site before the 7.1.1 bits.

Ok i thank u both for trying to help, but i think it may have something to do with the fact that its a new version and as time goes on we will find out what is wrong and how to fix no?

7.1.1, 7.1.0, and 7.0.9 in which all of them work. I still think you have a folder permission error.

I hope your correct, i am actually playing around with a new install and trying to learn the script and how to navigate in cpanel. If you can tell me here where to go and what to change i will go for it. At this point i am in the middle of reinstalling some mods in 7.1 cause i encountered an issue with the 7.1.1 beta. I uninstalled some mods to see if i reinstall them now it won't cause it says that the mods are not compatible. I don't care cause its the test site and i am learning, but if you know where i can go to change those permissions, shoot and let me know if u can?

 That is because all modules have to be removed if your taking a current site to 7.1.1. [edit] you have to manually change the header.inc.php to version 7.1.1 as well.

The install for each module is marked for version "7.1.1" its confusing but I was able to do webcamyourface from 7.1.0 to the beta without a fresh install, merged all the language changes and such with WinMerge.

Now for the permissions, I do nothing special for each install except making sure I SSH the permissions during install. There are a lot of new members that do not follow all steps (I'm not referring to you) from the install page.

chmod 777 /flash/modules/photo/files

How the hell do you 'shoot' a video?

 the selection is called "shoot" on the photo upload type selector.

when you are doing the "shoot" it is then called a screenshot, I think the word shoot should be changed from shoot to screenshot as it says.

Ok just got back, my bad, Skyforum r u asking how i did my video presentation? If so trust me it took a while to figure that out, but i used screencast-o-matic. Newton i am going to try to figure all this out today.

newton i uninstalled all the mods, then uploaded the zip file u provided, then extracted, then deleted "install, then reloaded, then tried to install mods and i was not able to. How or were do i go to change that header code u mention before?

Ok so here goes, on the new install that i was playing with, its all screwed up, still can't get the mods installed. So i went back to where i have the main site (7.0.9) a folder was created called "Dolphin 7.1" I went in there and changed the permission on ffmpeg and all that good stuff........then that inc file...i think i have the outline working, but when i upload a photo or even attempt the shoot, it still uses the same picture. I think its hammer time. Going back to see what i can do with the fresh, well not so fresh anymore of the 7.1 that i have on other account.

 So true, wish we could get the right verbiage here.

 the most recent is of course the Beta 7.1.1 the link I sent you was couple days after the Beta release, so that is even "newer" than the one released here.

After all these attempts, it is either your server, or some other reason, obviously.

Like I stated before here, my 7.0.9 site is taking "screenshots" fine, as well as newer versions. 

yes i hear you, but i just don't get it, the zip u sent me i uploaded it, extracted it, and some issues were resolved on the upgrade from 7.0.9...now with this fresh 7.1 that the hosting did for me i did same thing uploaded the zip u sent me and on that one i created a new member, created new level, and that member can;''t do jack on the site, its like if your walking in a pool of free items & u can not do jack cause your hands r tied. The hosting said they checked all permissions etc....and all is good, so i don't know what the heck.

Do you happen to have the watermark turned on?

[edit] this looks like you have it turned on set to 100% and it's way too big. (should be around 25% and small)
