aaaggghhhh.... chat rooms....

AAAAGGGHhhhhhhh.... My chat rooms have dissappeared again. There were ther for a couple of weeks. I even made them look pretty, with images in them and everything... then today..... all gone again. I created them in the chat admin and yet still they go....

Is this a conspiracy???? Is rayz in league with 123 flash chat and the others to piss people off enough that we will pay for overpriced services elsewhere? Is he getting a financial back hander?

More importantly...... where have my freakin chat rooms gone.... is this the dolphin triangle?  AAAGGHHhhhhhh...

For the longest time I thought I was doing something wrong but I finally figured out that no matter what you do the rooms eventually disappear. Which is a HUGE pain because when you have no rooms and two people enter the chat they can't see each other unless they create a room and both enter it.

So yeah, the built in chat stinks... STINKS. When I was using 6.0.4 I had the free flash chat integrated and it seemed to work ok, I just hate having stuff in an Iframe. At least with Flashchat everyone who enters can see each other and chat without having to figure out they need to create a room!

Long story short I feel your pain!

BUMP..... Is it possible to build the chat rooms directly in the database? Because when i try to add a room in admin its says "Error creating room"....

 What happens if you directly edit RayChatRooms in your database?

I didnt know I could newton... any idea where I would start looking? and i will try it and see. : )

My rooms are there in chat in the database along with all the others that have dissapeared in the past.... I wonder why they are not showing in chat...

I just tried it, I changed the name but it does not appear to change in the live chat. Perhaps it's because I'm using RMS and maybe should restart it to see if it changes.

If I change the name via the site, the changes are immediate  to the database.

I guess you could see what you have and check when they "disappear" and see if they are truly gone from your database.

[edit] all the original ones created long ago are still in my database...btw

 using RMS? try to restart if it's yours

[edit] Stopping and restarting my RMS server made the room "Title" changes I directly did in the database show up . 

Perhaps getting yours restarted might 'reload' your database as it did on mine.

chat never works. i am fed up of it. My client was asking about the chat and i have to explain him it never works. It wasted my so much time. I really hate it now..lol

and the rooms table name is "raychatrooms" for someone who don't know.

Fixed... I had to go into the database and delete all the rooms I had ever made and then go into rays adminand re-build all the rooms.

All works fine... for now........

Lets see how long it lasts.........

Did any of your guys figure out what was the cause and did it correct it self DRaut when you created the rooms in Rayzadmin? i am having the same problem

No idea what caused it... but once i erased the rooms in the database i was able to re-create them from rayz admin.

i am limited to 5 rooms, yet Rayz admin flash apps is set for 50 rooms, does anyone know why this is happening....this is frustrating!!!
