Email footers don't process macro things?

Hi,

I'm not sure what you call them but the codes you put in to replace them with real data. I've found that if I put any in the email footer, they do no get processed. Is there any way to fix this? The footer contains info like unsubscribe links, a reference of which email they are registered with etc... so none of them are working.

Thanks

Macro things?

Things like this {mykey}

I call them template keys.

They are not global. They can't be used everywhere. They are specific for the section they were coded in. For example, the ones you may find in the main menu will most likely work in the main menu only. They are processed by the code that generates the menu and cannot be used anywhere else.

You would assume incorrectly. The footers are not email templates now are they.
