Desktop What is it?

Hello what is desktop? what does it do? How do I access it after installation?

It's an Adobe AIR app that allows you to access the chat and messenger from your... desktop.  You can install it from Administration -> Tools -> Modules.

Does that mean you need to have Adobe AIR installed and what does this Desktop do anyway. I guess Adobe AIR is a purchased item not free?

How do you get the video chat to work? Also in the Tool Bar at the footer of the site, I though in previous versions the chat was accessed there, but now I see it is a menu item on the Horizontal menu across the top.

You need Adobe AIR and Adobe Flash Player.  Both are free downloads.  You can install the app and access the mentioned site features without a web browser.  Keep in mind that only one Dolphin desktop app can be installed on a computer.

You need the media server for audio/video chat to work.  You're probably thinking of the member menu and the simple messenger, a text-only messenger that can be accessed from said menu.
