Date Format Doesn't Work For Me.

Hi All.

I have the 7.1 version installed in a Brazilian site. The date here is like dd.mm.yyyy. I tried to change in the langs option through admin using several options like dd.mm.yyyy, dd-mm-YYYY and many others but the change doesn't work in the site. Details: I cleaned all the caches and cleaned my browser cache.

Does anybody could tell me what is the right option?

PS: I tried other options that I found in this forum and tried options from PHP manual.
