I have had several members complaining to me saying they can't logout, grrrrrr cant seem to work out what it could be, i have even uploaded a new logout.php but still no good :( You Creature!! |
Well there is no need to panic.
Logging out of dolphin is not a critical step. In fact 90% of people don't even bother. Most just close the browser.
Anyhow. Turn off all caching options in dolphin.
Then make a backup of your .htaccess file and restore the original from the dolphin zip file.

Thats the thing, and i wasnt too worried about it at first as i thought not many people are going to complain about it but after getting 15 emails from members over the past 2 hours moaning that they cant log out etc, bla bla bla, but the thing is they log out of the site but because they see that error they think they are still logged in, grrrrr bloody members who's have them!!
You Creature!! |
Wow. You actually have a bunch of people that actually log out.
Hmm.
Anyhow. I am out of ideas. I have not idea what to try next.

Have there been any recent 3rd party module installs?Any that might have required core file changes?
I can't see Dolphin just 'all the sudden' throwing this error. Something had to happen. Have you contact your host to see if they upgraded/changed anything on their side?
Nothing to see here |
How about a website url so we can see if any script errors are occurring. https://www.deanbassett.com |
i will send the url in a message You Creature!! |

Ok i have just checked with my host and they say there has been no changes to the server etc in the last two weeks atleast :( so im back the square one, bugger You Creature!! |
How long has this problem been going on?
And how long has it been since you updated my facebook connect? I know your splash page is using a button from one of my older versions.
The logout process has a facebook logout process when facebook connect is installed. So, try uninstalling facebook connect. And while you have it uninstalled, make sure you have my latest version uploaded and reupload at least to make sure the alert class that processes the facebook logout is not damaged.
I am seeing script errors as well. There is a corrupt image somewhere causing a JS error. I have also notice google analysts is loading twice for some reason. So you may also want to try restoring the original _header and _sub_header.html files as well.

Not long as far as i know, think it started in the last day or two, i have a problem i cant uninstall facebook connect as its saying i have to uninstal my wap app first and i really cant uninstall the wap app as i have made lots of changes to it (these changes were made a couple of weeks ago btw) do you think the facebook connect could be causing the problem as if there is a high chance then i will have to uninstal it as a last resort.
Thanks
You Creature!! |
And are you sure your running with the original .htaccess file?
This error in FF and the one i see in chrome points to a gzip error according to google searches.. Wondering if mod_deflate is being used in the .htaccess file.

Nevermind. You not running my facebook connect. You have the boonex version installed. I do not know if the boonex version does a logout from facebook or not. It's been a couple of years since i have used it.

I uploaded the htaccess file direct from a dolphin zip earlier when you said.

Well. Then i still have no clue.
I still see a corrupt image error in the firefox error console.
And i view source shows google analytics loading twice.

I did have this in my old htaccess file >

ok i found this inpublic_html/inc/classes/BxDolAdminTools.php
function checkApacheModule ($sModule, $sNameCompiledName = '') { $a = array ( 'deflate_module' => 'mod_deflate', 'expires_module' => 'mod_expires', ); if (!$sNameCompiledName && isset($a[$sModule])) $sNameCompiledName = $a[$sModule];
Does this help??
Thanks

It's hard to determine the issue without at least, looking at the site. PM url if you want to. |
Oh you still have the problem:O
Sorry for late reply, I got your message,
I thought it will be solved by now, so I went to sleep.
try clearing html purifier cache and pm your site address please.
so much to do.... |
Ok, the problem is fixed by removing the code from logout.php that creates buffers. Anybody know why theres a need to create buffer in logout.php. I don't think any of the 3 files output any thing
ob_start(); require_once( 'inc/header.inc.php' ); require_once( BX_DIRECTORY_PATH_INC . 'design.inc.php' ); require_once( BX_DIRECTORY_PATH_INC . 'profiles.inc.php' ); ob_end_clean();
so much to do.... |
Okay, now this explains it
http://php.net/manual/en/function.ob-end-clean.php#Hcom95773
Notice that ob_end_clean() does discard headers. Is this a bug? Why remove the headers, that tells the encoding lol
