Bridge with an alternative forum.

I have decided that Orca is just not a tennable solution for a forum with users expectations in 2013. Are there any bridges out there that will allow me to use a different forum? I only really care about bridging logins. It would be great if profiles could be bridged, with all the PM and avatar goodness that comes with it but at the moment I simply want rid of Orca.

If not, I will write one but because I am so busy that will put my impending launch back quite a long time. Would there be any interest in such a mod?

There are several in the market place.  Not sure if they are forums you wish to use or have the features you desire.

There are no credible third party forum integrations in  the market.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

I have no knowledge of them; just thought I saw some that claimed to be integrations.  Probably the best solution is to just have a stand-alone forum and the users that wish to use the forums can sign up for the stand-alone forum.  You can use HL's stand-alone Dolphin menu to include the Dolphin menu with the stand-alone forum.

It seems like everything is so hard and costly with Dolphin, any other CMS or community type software has bridges to these 3rd party forums for free or for dirt cheap. Dolphin coders want $100-600 depending on the type of integration..really? lol

We had someone to come into our CMS forum complaining how we did not have bridges to all the other applications out there.

Why not post a list of these " any other CMS or community type software" and the other applications they have bridges for.

Why don't all these other applications have a bridge to Dolphin?

There was once a phpbb integration but it's no longer available here. Esase built it, got everyone all excited, then bailed on the project.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
