Avatar upload errors

On my boonex 7.1 site I've run into an odd error with Avatar uploads. this happens on all browsers I've tested, IE, Firefox and even Chrome for iPad.

The first screen shows the initial errors in the Avatar page. It already has an upload error on loading the page. Once selecting a file to upload, it thinks then goes to the error page shown on screen 2.

since Roansgroup.com is a social events site, the profile/Avatar picture is very important. Since it does not have the option for Profile picture on account creation, I'm sort of stuck needing Avatar.

I've also tried including the profile picture in account creation, but it conflicted with the facebook connect.

Based on the missing language keys i see in your screenshots, it does not appear the avatar module properly installed. Incomplete install.

And you will need to explain the photo conflict with facebook connect. As that also does not make any sense. There should not be any conflicts.

Noticed other problems on the site.

DOB field on join form not working. You need to apply the fix.

Missing language key on the last page of your join form.

After join is complete i am no longer logged in. That is also not normal behavior.

Thanks Deano. i'll give this a try and see how it works.

My site is hosted on Godaddy which does not appear to be the best home for this. I'll need a better hosting provider sooner than later.

@deano - uh oh - cause i have the same thing in regards to not being logged in after join complete - but is this because i have set to confirm email as well as admin activation first? - I also have the Automatic Confirmation Emailsby AntonLV

Yea it's not. You can get dolphin compatible hosting from Zarcon (Zarconia) for about the same price. I recommend you do. I dropped my godaddy account years ago.

It may have something to do with that. Not sure. It just does not seem normal to me.

Does not look like any of your members have any avatars. Does not look like this has worked from day one. It also does not seem to appear on the menus anywhere. Remove the avatar module and reinstall it.

Yeah, I removed the avatar plugin and reinstalled it. That's why members no longer have pictures. Oops. The few that clicked make Avatar profile pic still have one though.

I'll look up the hosting provider you suggested tonight. Thanks for the suggestion.
