Set avatar required quick question

I vaguely remember a topic on setting avatar picture uploads as required.  I can't find the topic in search and don't remember if there was a solution for that issue.  Can anyone be so kind as to tell me what came about that discussion or point me to the thread if you have it flagged in your account?

I can help you with that. Login to your database and look for the sys_profile_fields table. Click browse adn may need to go to page 2 to find the field called Profile Photo. Change Mandatory from 0 to a 1. Save it, clear your /cache (except for .htaccess) and then view your Join page. You should see that the Profile Photo is now a required field.

Is there a way to have a set avatar for a predefined list? So if a member is female, they get an avatar that I have set up for female?

I did this mod and does show me the red * as mandatary, but I can still create an account without the avatar...I was looking at the Sys_profile_fields table there's another thing that says JoinPage, it's set to 0 now do I need to put a 1 there also?

It does that by default.  There are default male and female icons already in Dolphin.  Whatever sex the user chooses, if they do not add a custom or system avatar, they'll get the appropriate one assigned by Dolphin when they complete registration.

Ok this thing is working and I am posting to let everyone know that I made work on my demo site.

It was not working at the beginning because I forgot to eliminate this file --> sys_profile_fields.inc from the cache directory.

After eliminating that, everythin started to work right.

Users cannot register on my website without uploading a picture.

The only thing that I am trying to figure out is how to setup the Required Photo at the Joining Page as the Default Avatar.

Does anyone knows how to setup the Required Photo on the Join Page as the Default Avatar?

this is really what we need, a default join page photo as avatar without cropping vos many people don't know even if you tell them or give em a video tutorial.

Diddy is not greedy and has time. Dolphin is cool and its not just mine :-)
