Large subscribe box at the top of the pages

I've just installed D7 RC2 and am still in the learning process.  One thing that has me puzzled is a large 'subscribe' box at the top of all the pages.  It looks out of place and I don't want it there.  I can't seem to find a way to turn it off.  How do I get rid of it?  Image below of the box I want to lose.  Thanks.

yoursite.com/administration/pageBuilder.php

select home click go now move the blocks you don't want to show up to inactive blocks

and for that banner

yoursite.com/administration/basic_settings.php and replace it with your own

Been there, done that, didn't work.  I had already moved the subscribe block to inactive.  That's why i'm confused.  It got rid of the one on the lower part of the page, but the one on top still keeps coming up.

did take a look at it

try and reupload the default folder "templates" let's see if that helps :)

I did the upload, didn't work.  Then cleared the cache and then it worked!  Now it looks like it should!

I've installed several times thinking there was a bad file somewhere, but each time the same results.  The difference this time is that instead of unzipping on the server, I unzipped those files locally and uploaded them.  Must be something in the server corrupting the files on decompress?

Guess I better do a new install with uploaded files instead... just in case something else shows up bad.

Thanks for your help!!!
